New Year; New You?

As we say goodbye to 2017, and welcome in 2018, it’s time to yet again examine my life choices and make the ever sacred, ever necessary New Year’s Resolution.

I read an article which said that most New Year’s resolutions which are based on previous habits are easier to keep. For example, wanting to take up playing the piano is easier to do if you’ve previously learnt.

I started learning the piano in 2016, having never read music or played an instrument before. And I’ve nearly given it up multiple times. It’s not that I find it hard to play the piano, I do but that’s not the point. It’s the fact that it requires time and effort. Pilates I can rock up to twice a week, tune out the rest of the world and go crazy on my core. But it doesn’t require me to do any ‘homework’ as it were.

Piano- you need to practice nearly 3 times a week. And during a hectic week, I can easily find other things to do.

So this New Year’s resolution is a simple one, for me anyway.

I’m an avid reader, so my NYs resolution, is to read 60 books. I’ve already finished one, which in fairness was because I was feeling rather worse for wear due to enjoying last nights festivities.

The challenge. 60 books. 1 year. 1 blog post per book. 1 review per book. Click here to see my Goodreads profile.

Previously read: Torn (A Wicked Trilogy no.2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Currently reading: Brave (A Wicked Trilogy no.3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
